Dunoon Groovy Dogs Lomond Shape Mug

Four adorable, illustrated dogs are playing in their own band; on the tuba is a brown and white dog, on the trumpet a black and white spotty dog, on the baby grand piano is a two-tone brown dog and on the double base a red brown dog. These groovy dogs are set against the crisp white background for Dunoon’s fine bone china, complete with a speckle of coloured treble clefs, stars and swirls. This fun pattern continues on the handle and inside the rim of the mug.

Lomond
The elegant simplicity of the Lomond shape, new for May 2010, becomes the canvas for some of the boldest patterns and brightest designs Dunoon have ever launched. As with the Glencoe or Jura shapes, Dunoon have once again chosen to name a range after a quiet Scottish idyll, this time drawing inspiration from the beautiful Scottish loch renowned for its "bonnie bonnie banks". With a capacity of 320ml they are both dishwasher and microwave safe, with the exception of those featuring gold embellishment.

Kate Mawdsley

Kate Mawdsley was born in Lancashire and now lives in a converted barn in East Anglia. Even in the nursery, Kate Mawdsley preferred to play with paper, pencils and paint rather than toys and she maintained her interest in art throughout her education. After completing her degree in fashion and textiles, Kate spent the first ten years of her career in the fashion industry. In the early 1990s, she began gradually to move into more illustrative work. Since then, her repertoire and collection have expanded each year and her work can now be seen on products ranging from Dunoon mugs to cross-stitch fabrics.
