Basket is big enough to let loose tea swim in the water. It keeps the water hot. And the cup doesn't get too hot. It's cooler at the bottom than at the top.

I got this tea last year as a gift and loved it. So I ordered it myself this year. Saving it till closer to Christmas but I'm sure it will be just as good.
