With the more relaxed COVID19 restrictions, people took advantage of this beautiful summer weather to reconnect with family and friends. How about hosting a small-size Summer Tea Party that is easy to prepare to create some extra summer fun?

Here are some ideas on how to start:

  • Determine the particular theme cause of the gathering, such as:  welcome back, newborn, newlywed, graduation, or casual, because this will help you to decide the fun party decoration and the menu too
  • How many people are coming
  • Where the party will be, such as garden, patio, sun-room
  • Who can help you to prepare
  • Menu

Let's get right to the exciting and fun part, which is planning the menu!
You can play with various toppings, spreads and different types of bread, so you can use almost the same main ingredient to make 2-4 other treats!
For this summer, we think Egg Salad sounds terrific to be the star of the menu!

  1. Eight eggs hard-boiled cooled, and peeled
  2. ½ cup mayonnaise
  3. 1 ½ teaspoon yellow mustard
  4. One green onion thinly sliced
  5. Two teaspoons fresh dill chopped
  6. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Mash eggs with mayonnaise, mustard and salt & pepper to taste until smooth and creamy.

To complete your tea party menu you want to add some sweet treats. You could either bake mini tarts, petite cakes, bake cupcakes or cookies, or buy those colourful store-bought meringues.

It's a Tea Party, so we need some teas! A sparkling iced tea made with one of our fruit infusions, i.e. Sansangria, will create a refreshing and delicious beverage! A classic hot tea prepared with our Black Currant Tea served in a delicate cup would be very pleasant and fitting.
