Black Tea  Assam

Assam is the largest tea growing area in the world, situated on both sides of the Brahmaputra River, is in the north Indian province Assam. The humid climate is perfect for the tea plant. Assam teas have a strong and malty flavour. This quality makes Assam teas ideal for areas with hard water and hence they are used as the basis for many blends, including the popular East Frisian blends.
