busy bee poppies - cairngorme mug
Dunoon Busy Bees Poppy Cairngorm Shape Mug
Tiny bumblebees feature throughout this beautiful Cairngorm mug from Dunoon. Harrison Ripley’s motif shows the busy bees buzzing around in different directions, pollenating a patch of bright red poppies. The flowers are shaded with deeper colours to add depth and dimension to the design and the crisp white background makes the daring shades of red and green stand out. Both the handle and upper inside rim feature matching designs, tying the whole piece together. The perfect gift for anyone who loves their garden and enjoys nature, this mug makes a wonderful birthday, Christmas or thank you gift to a special someone.
Named after the Scottish Mountains of the same name, this design is a larger version of the Lomond shape mugs. It has a gentle slope to the body and a curved handle. With a range of fabulous designs to choose from this 'oversized' mug is a must. With a capacity of 480ml they are both dishwasher and microwave safe, with the exception of any mugs with gold embellishment.
Born in Leeds, Harrison Ripley is a freelance illustrator, known for his floral and seascape designs. His images have been used on a variety of items including stationery and have translated beautifully onto the Dunoon mugs.

I bought my first Dunoon in Scotland. They are very light, have great handles for arthritic hands, and you get a great mug of tea. This is for my sister in memory of our Scottish Mom who loved poppies and was a Dunoon girl all the way.
