The Golden Rules to make...

... the perfect Cup of Tea:

There is nothing more soothing and relaxing to have a cup of freshly steeped tea.  We all know that you don't need to be a scientist to make the perfect cup of tea. On the end all that counts is that you enjoy the way you steep your cup of tea. Here are my golden rules to make a perfect cup of tea:

Black Tea

  • warm up vessel by filling it with hot water
  • bring water to a rolling boil 100º C / 212º F
  • add 1 tsp tea leaves per cup
  • steep for 3 to 5 minutes
  • remove tea leaves
  • enjoy!

Green Tea

  • warm up vessel by filling it with hot water
  • heat water to 80º C / 176º F
  • add 1 tsp tea leaves per cup
  • steep for 2 to 3 minutes
  • remove tea leaves
  • enjoy!

White Tea

  • warm up vessel by filling it with hot water
  • heat water to 70º C / 158º F
  • add 2 tsp tea leaves per cup
  • steep for 2 to 5 minutes
  • remove tea leaves
  • enjoy!

Oolong Tea

  • warm up vessel by filling it with hot water
  • heat water to 70-90º C / 158º-194º
  • add 1 tsp tea leaves per cup
  • steep for 2 to 5 minutes
  • remove tea leaves
  • enjoy!

Rooibos

  • warm up vessel by filling it with hot water
  • heat water to 100º C / 212º F
  • add 1 tsp tea leaves per cup
  • steep for 5 to 10 minutes
  • remove tea leaves
  • enjoy!

Herbal

  • warm up vessel by filling it with hot water
  • heat water to 100º C / 212º F
  • add 1 tsp tea leaves per cup
  • steep for 4 to 10 minutes
  • remove tea leaves
  • enjoy!

Fruit Infsusions

  • warm up vessel by filling it with hot water
  • heat water to 100º C / 212º F
  • add 1 tsp tea leaves per cup
  • steep for 8 to 10 minutes
  • remove tea leaves
  • enjoy!
